In The Hours, I aim to express the ideas of isolation and time. This body of work captures the still moments that embodies being alone. There is no sense of beginning or end, but rather, the sheer moment each still creates. With lighting being the main motivation, I was determined to use both practical and studio lights to create a fantasy world that does not imitate reality, but retains a sense of realism that is used to express various moods relating to loneliness and oneself. I feel that the colors in each photo contrast each other to create a duality of feelings, one might have, when viewing this series of images. Although we don’t know where each photo will leads us, and we don’t need to; we simply just want to be in the moment, isolated and timeless.
