I got my first real film camera, a medium format camera, about 6 months ago so when I was asked to be featured in The Blackbox Magazine I was extremely honored, and then I panicked. All of a sudden I had to really think about what attracts me to the images I have been capturing. In the most basic, whether in the intimate or the grand, it is "Texture and Tone" that draws my eye.

The world is infused with Texture and Tone. They combine in sublime ways that invoke emotion and beg for an eye to behold and a story to be told.  Film is the perfect medium to capture the meshing of Texture and Tone as these are inherent.

Nature is the true artist and Texture and Tone are it's canvasses . We only need the eyes to see.
